I support organisations in their learning processes at various stages, facilitating design/review of programmes and monitoring systems, and evaluations. I like working with organisations over time, keen on seeing ideas work in practice and become embedded in organisational culture. Sometimes this means facilitating workshops, supporting personnel over Skype, reading through reports, or helping communication systems better support learning. I am currently based in Sweden, but available to travel to the South for consultancy services. So far, most of my experience has been with organisations working in Asia.
I have seen Outcome Mapping help programme staff be explicit about values and process, and engage in more meaningful relationships. It helps all kinds of roles in programmes and in the funding chain to focus on the complex context where change happens. I love keeping the focus of people being actors.
- Using a pedagogical lens, adapting approaches for each cultural/multicultural context
- Building confidence in local staff to engage in their work through action-reflection cycles
- Using participatory methods and visualisation to support meaning and create shared experiences.
- Drawing from experiences of social change processes within multilingual education and environment/livelihood.
- Managing teams and communicating between levels of funding chain
