The workshop on Outcome Mapping (OM) for IWMI’s Ghana Boundary Partners (BP) was organized on the 11th of November 2004 in the Conference Room of IWMI, Ghana and conducted by Dr. O. Cofie. Participants, drawn from four different types of our boundary partners, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) (municipality), Enterprise Works Ghana (NGO), University of Ghana Legon (training/research) and Farmer Associations (farmer group) actively participated in the workshop.

The Resource Center on Urban Agriculture and Forestry (RUAF) focuses on networking, information exchange, policy advice and training in urban agriculture. It is coordinated by ETC, Netherlands and operates through seven regional focal points on urban agriculture in the South. IWMI–Ghana is the RUAF focal point for Anglophone West Africa. As a research institution IWMI identifies problems concerning water and land management for livelihood and develops strategies to solve them in a participatory way. It carries out field data collection and publicizes research findings; provides research output in urban and peri-urban agriculture to facilitate policy development; does extensive networking and dissemination of UA related materials, capacity building and addresses specific answers to questions covering urban agriculture issues in the sub-region.
