About Kate McAlpine

I help people to resolve the dilemmas that arise from trying to be a responsible citizen in a changing country. I take up the role of researcher, facilitator, strategist, designer and coach. In Tanzania, and beyond, the certainties of the past no longer hold, and the norms of the future are yet to be established. Underpinning my work is a facilitation process that enables people to learn how to learn, a body of evidence about how people who behave pro-socially in Tanzania make meaning of their world, and a theory of change that supports more people to better do the ‘right thing’.
