Outcome-based approaches for effective monitoring, evaluation and learning in complex change processes

This 4-day event will take a deep dive into the principles of Outcome Mapping and Outcome Harvesting by combining grounded theory with practical case studies and group discussion.

Participants will complete the programme with an understanding of OM and OH, their relevance in complex change processes, how to use them appropriately in their own contexts, and how to adapt them for use with other aligned approaches.

The event is led by a team of world-class experts in Outcome Mapping and Outcome Harvesting including: Kaia Ambrose, Steff Deprez, Goele Scheers, Simon Hearn and invited guest speakers

HIVA is the Research Institute for Work and Society, a multidisciplinary research institution at the Katholic University, Leuven. Situated in the grounds of KU Leuven, HIVA offers us a peaceful, relaxed venue for our event. Leuven is a univeristy town 20 mins from Brussels, easy to get to and easy to get around.

From Brussels National Airport (Zaventem), take the Leuven bound train at the airport itself. This will cost around €9. These trains usually have Luik (Liège, in French) as its final destination but they stop in Leuven en route. The Brussels-Leuven trip takes about 20 minutes by express train.

From Brussels Midi Eurostar station, take a direct train to Leuven. Average journey time is 30 minutes and costs around €8.
